After hearing about Queens Cross Community Foundation’s schemes, such as the Community Chest Grant Scheme, the John Gray bursary and the small grants for grassroots organisations Craig made an initial donation of £750. But Craig and his team wanted to do more and provide continued support. They pledged to provide ongoing financial support of £150 per month to help sustain the foundation’s work. After closing during the pandemic, the café will now officially re-open on 5th August at 9:30am with the support of us here at Queens Cross Workspace. The Courtyard Pantry Enterprise has gone from strength to strength in recent years, establishing their pantry initiative which now boasts over 1000 members and has provided around £500k of food to local people at a fraction of the normal retail price. As well as offering local people a hub to socialise, the café will also provide training and employment opportunities to the community. We are delighted to play a part in this and look forward to seeing many of you there soon!
