Help Us Support Young People in G20 – A New Queens Cross Workspace Survey
At Queens Cross Workspace, being a landlord is only part of what we do. We exist to support enterprise, strengthen our community, and ensure that the success of our commercial spaces translates into real local impact.
That is why we are launching a new survey focused on young people aged 16–25 in the G20 postcode who are not currently in education, employment, or training.
We want to better understand the specific barriers these young people are facing — and, most importantly, how we can help remove them.
Why We’re Doing This
As a social enterprise landlord, any surplus generated through Queens Cross Workspace does not go to distant shareholders. It is reinvested back into initiatives that benefit the local community.
However, meaningful investment starts with listening.
Young people who are not in education or work face a wide range of challenges, and assumptions are not enough. We need direct insight to understand:
What is preventing young people from accessing jobs or training
Whether financial barriers are the main issue
If confidence, wellbeing, or lack of work experience are key factors
What types of support would genuinely make a difference
What Could This Lead To?
The results of this survey will directly shape how Queens Cross Workspace allocates future surplus funds. At this stage, we are open-minded. The right solution might be:
Apprenticeship or work placement opportunities
Education or training grants
Support with interview preparation, clothing, or travel costs
Confidence-building or employability workshops
Something else entirely that young people tell us they need
We do not want to decide for young people — we want to decide with them.
Why This Matters to Our Tenants
If you are already a tenant at Queens Cross Workspace — or considering becoming one — this initiative reflects something fundamental about how we operate.
Choosing to base your business here means more than renting a workspace. It means being part of a model where commercial success is used as a force for local good. The rent you pay contributes to projects that create opportunities, tackle inequality, and strengthen the community around us.
That is what makes Queens Cross Workspace different from a traditional commercial landlord.
How You Can Help
We will soon be sharing details of the survey and how young people can take part. In the meantime, you can support this work by:
Sharing the survey with young people aged 16–25 in G20 once it launches
Connecting us with local groups, organisations, or services that work with young people
Spreading the word about Queens Cross Workspace and our community-focused approach
Together, we can ensure that the success of our businesses helps open doors for the next generation.
If you are a young person aged (16-25), or work with young people you can access the survey here - please feel free to share this far and wide.
